PHASE 1. Sending the photos

Only photos submitted before 8 February 2015 at 23:59 UTC will be allowed to enter the contest.

N.B.: All photos will be validated for publication on the website by the contest administrators within no more than two working days for purposes of security and to ensure compliance with the rules of the contest.

PHASE 2. Voting

The voting period for the public jury starts on 16 October 2014 at 12:00 UTC and ends on 10 February 2015 at 23:59 UTC. Only five votes per day are allowed per registered user and under no circumstances can the same photo be voted for more than once.

PHASE 3. Publication of finalists

On 19 February 2015 the 30 finalists of the Show Off Your Forest Photography Contest will be published at the contest website. The finalists will consist of:

  • The 10 photos, 5 for each category, that have received the most votes from the people’s jury.
  • The 20 photos, 10 for each category, freely chosen by the contest organisation in accordance with the criteria of quality, originality and/or good representation of the theme of the contest.

PHASE 4.  Announcing of the winners

The professional jury will score all the photos selected as finalists in the contest and those photos achieving the highest scores will be the winners.  There will be only one winner per category (mobile/camera).

The winners of the second edition of the Show Off Your Forest Photography Contest will be announced on 26 February 2015.

One finalist will also be awarded per category and there will be two runner-up prizes.

PHASE 5. Draw

On 27 February 2015 a draw will be held before the notary amongst all registered users (both those who have sent a photo and those who have voted for one) at the Show Off Your Forest website for all the prizes provided by the sponsors. The winners of the draw will be announced on the FOREST EUROPE social networks and at the contest website on 28 February  2015.
